about the videographer

I have always believed in providing the most excellent service possible for customers. My wife calls me a perfectionist, and in many ways she's right. But I know that we only get one chance to make your wedding video and I want to make it as perfect as possible.

Pictured above: Kelli, my wife and local Charleston Photographer, took this on our most recent trip to the NC Mountains.

I am in relentless pursuit of the most perfect wedding video possible. Each time I film and edit a couple's wedding, I look at ways I can improve and make the next one better. I don't stop until your wedding video is something that you will treasure for life.

I also create videos for Bar / Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, celebrations, sporting events (athlete highlights) and business functions, but the vast majority of the work that I do is wedding videography.

Why work from home?

Since I began working from home, a second passion of mine has been to tell others how they can go into business doing something they love rather than working a job that they don't.  More than that though, if more of us chose to do something we love from home, we could spend more time with our families, cook more at home rather than eating out all the time, and be available to friends in need during the week.

I just read a report on Yahoo! that talked about a full 25% of people did not have friends at all.  They attributed it to working too much, being too busy, long commutes, getting married later in life and having children later in life.  It made me sad to read that because the report also suggested that this problem has been getting progressively worse over the last 20 years.

I have to tell you that working for myself, while challenging sometimes, has been the very best decision I have ever made and I would encourage anyone who has even a thought of working for themselves to consider it.  Even if you have to start slowly like I did before actually quitting your day job, you can do it.

Having my studio in my spare bedroom means that I don't have to spend a dime on gas for my "commute".  I do have to drive for weddings and events, but I don't have daily traffic to fight with.  When I launched Coastal Videography, I learned so much from a company called SiteSell and they helped propel me into working for myself faster than I would have imagined.

The place called SiteSell.com is not going to provide you with any products to sell, or give you some idea of service to sell.  Rather, they encourage to take something you are passionate about and turn it into a business and they give great advice along the way.  They help you to define your passions and turn them into something powerful and into ways you can make money doing what you love to do.

That is just one of hundreds of examples you can read about here.  Take a moment to go to their website. You will be glad you did.
